1. Making time go faster
I'm sure you guys have heard the saying "time flies when you're having fun". But this is 2020, there isn't anything fun to do this year because of the pandemic that's hitting the word right now. Naturally, you could, however, lie down. It's a good way to make time go faster when you need hours of shuteye. That being said, lying down and taking a nap is a good thing when there isn't anything fun to do.2. Moving to a country close to the International Date Line
Countries that are close to the IDL usually are the first to start a new day, and Kiribati is one of them. The reason why Kiribati is always the first to start the new day and new year is because it lies between the IDL, and some of its eastern island clusters use the UTC+14 time zone. Sadly, Kiribati's main airport don't have flights going to the US, so if you happen to board a plane that goes to Kiribati, you've already reached UTC+14 territory and from there... good luck. Also, Auckland and Wellington are first cities to start the new day because they lie on UTC+12 and UTC+13 with daylight saving time.
3. Going to a country that doesn't use the Gregorian calendar
Not all countries use the Gregorian calendar though. There are some countries that have their own unique calendar, such as Ethiopia, the Arab countries, Iran, Afghanistan, and North Korea. As of 2020, it's currently year 2012-2013 in Ethiopia. The Arab countries, despite using the Gregorian calendar, also use the Arab calendar and is currently 1441-1442 in those countries, and in Iran and Afghanistan, year 1399. North Korea has their own calendar called the Juche calendar, which starts with the birth of Kim Il-Sung, and as of 2020, it's year 109 in the Juche calendar. So, if you move to those countries with unique calendars, you could feel like you're not living in the year 2020.
4. Moving to Mars
At the moment, a future project to send people to Mars is still ongoing. So far, astronomists have a hard time devising a calendar system which would be used on Mars. Technically, there's a calendar system called Darian calendar, and it was chosen as one of Mars's future calendars to be used.
Anyway guys, that was all I could think of. I created this post just for fun because I was bored. Hope you guys stay safe in the pandemic until the lockdown is over.
